2024 Election

There will be several city council and school board seats up this November.  Be on the look out for their campaigns, and make sure to educate yourself on who is running in those races.

This year, our city will be voting to send someone to Congress from the 9th Congressional District.  Congressman Morgan Griffith has announced he is running for reelection, and there are other candidates that may announce in the coming months.  There will be a primary in June this year to determine our nominee.

The Statewide primary for U.S. Senate will be June 18, 2024. The candidates include Hung Cao, Edward C. “Eddie” Garcia Jr., Jonathan W. Emond, C.L. “Chuck” Smith Jr., and Scott Thomas Parkinson. Early voting for this primary starts on Friday May 3, 2024.
